Each and every one of us has a struggle or something we grieve. We are also all called to something in our lives that God has promised to use for the glory of His Kingdom. Some are asked to be a missionary in far corners of the world, some are called to the life of singlehood, and some are called to the ministry of sorrow and suffering loss. The cross that God has asked me to bear is the loss of a child. It's not something I asked for or even something I'm content with. It's something that takes daily surrender and faith that God's infinite plan is far greater than what my finite mind can comprehend. Join me as I pick up the heavy, overwhelming cross God has asked me to bear. The task of bearing witness to all on how to grieve faithfully. It's messy and ugly and yet filled with so much hope. A hope that is secured for me (and you too) in Heaven because of the precious blood of Jesus. All who believe in Jesus are just passing through this earth and we are all homeward bound.
